Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to make a booking?
It would be prefered if you do, this way we can ensure you have our full attention when you come into the store. If we can, we will accomodate you if you walk in.
However, if we are with other clients we will ask you to please book in.
Is there a charge for the fitting?
Yes we do charge $47 for the time spent in a fitting, this will be refunded off the cost of any arch support purchase and if you decide not to purchase we will give you a little something to remember us by.
What is involved during a fitting?
It ususally takes an hour and we take your foot prints and discuss your current lifestyle and what you would like to achieve.
We will fit you in a series of arch supports for you to try and test for comfort.
Through the process we advise if the supports will be beneficial to you, but we cannot diagnose any foot conditions.
Tell me about the lifetime warranty?
The Good Feet Store offers a lifetime warranty on breakages and flattening of most of their arch supports. This will be discussed in detail with your fitter.
Can I bring the supports back for a refund if I do not use them?
Unfortunatley not, this is why we spend the time with you prior to purchase to ensure it is the right fit for you.
Are you affiliated with NDIS?
We are not, but the Good Feet Store is a listed provided, if you have an NDIS plan, come in and discuss with us we cannot promise anything but will look into it for you.
What sort of shoes do you sell?
Currently we have Lems and Propet. Lems have a barefoot toe box and provide comfort and movement for your toes, the best thing about the Lems shoes is if you like the size they have multiple styles that have the same base. You can mix and match enjoying the same feeling.
Propet shoes are made for comfort and orthodics the srch supports go really well inside their tour knit shoes which is a style that we hold escpecially to fit the arch supports in.
We find that the arch supports are really complimented by these shoes
Do we have to buy the shoes?
Absolutley not, however keep in mind if you are changing the habits of your feet, you may want to get new shoes from us or elsewhere to create new habits.
Do the arch supports fit in all shoes?
No, they do not. But they will fit in most. Shoes that can have the inners removed are complementary to the supports. Different supports are more appropriate in certain situations for example some supports are best suited to workboots over dress shoes. Some of the supports are more appropriate to sports than others.
Speak to your fitter for more information on this, you are welcome to bring some of your shoes with you to your appointment.
In our experience the newer the shoe is, the better the for will be as there are no bad habits in new shoes.
Can I claim the supports through my Health Insurance?
You will have to check with your own insurance provider- some of our clients have been able too, some have not. We do not have a provider number
